Your Spare Parts Master Data Is Costing You More Than You Think

Every procurement leader talks about reducing costs. Fewer talk about the quality of the data behind those purchasing decisions, and that's a mistake because in industrial procurement, bad data is rarely a minor inconvenience. It's the root cause of a large share of the "expensive surprises" that show up in spend reviews.


Missing EAN numbers. Duplicate products. Incorrect dimensions. Three different descriptions for the exact same component, entered by three different people, in three different years. Individually, these look like small, forgivable data-entry problems. Together, across a spare parts database with tens of thousands of SKUs, they compound into purchasing mistakes that repeat every single day.


Why Spare Parts Data Quality Is Different from Other Master Data Problems

The Physical Product Never Changed. Only the Data Did

You Don't Need to Rebuild Your ERP
